Alacare Gets Approval for $7M Inpatient Facility in Hoover

Alacare Home Health and Hospice has been issued a certificate of need to move forward with its $7 million, 14-bed inpatient facility planned in Hoover.

"We're really excited the Certificate of Need Review Board approved our project," said John Beard, chairman and president of Alacare. "We feel like having more inpatient beds in the Jefferson County market will prove the utilization of that needed service."

Alacare is in discussions with an architectural firm and plan to meet with the City of Hoover to find a location. The project should be underway by the end of September, Beard said.
